International Conference on Advances in Polymer Science & Technology

November 1-3, 2018 | Kathmandu, Nepal

Souvenir & Scientific Programme | Accommodation (Godavari) | Accommodation (Golden Three)

Polymers offer enormous opportunities towards newer applications in technologically important areas. There is a great necessity to have an integral approach towards this complementary relationship of polymers and their performance. These polymeric materials have shown multidirectional growth in several areas of technological innovations, which ranges from biomedical polymers to the fascinating field of smart materials. A precise understanding of the molecular architecture and its role in governing physical characteristics is extremely useful to understand their applications. The world of polymers is fascinating & innovative and requires a great deal of interaction and discussion among the scientific community. This conference on polymers is proposed to exchange information on new dimensions in such application areas.

APA celebrated its 10 years of dynamic existence during its last conference in November last year. APA in collaboration with Nepal Chemical Society is organizing International conference (APA-2018) on ‘Advances in Polymer Science & Technology’ during November 1-3, 2018 at Kathmandu, Nepal. This conference will be organised in association with Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal, Indian Society for Biomaterials & Artificial Organs (SBAOI-Delhi), Society for Tissue Engineering & regenerative Medicine India (STERMI) and Indo-Italian Forum (IIF). The conference would be dedicated to various domains of polymer science and technology with an extensive interaction among academicians, researchers, technologists and policy planners. A special feature of this event is Student Conclave for the benefit for our young researchers. We are sure that this conference would provide the required impetus in generating polymer resource for the country.

APA-2018 at Kathmandu would be another step by the society to create a platform knowledgeable polymer world. On behalf of the organising committee, we invite you to participate in this event. We look forward to welcome you at Kathmandu, Nepal

Student Conclave

The contest will check theoretical and practical knowledge of students on topics related to polymer science & technology. Students will be asked to write answers for questions in a given period and will be evaluated on the basis of their overall performance. First, second and third prizes will be conferred on the winners. On-line registration for participation would be needed.

Innovation Contest will look at the ability of a student in transforming an idea, imagination or invention into a simple process to develop an useful product as an affordable domain for the human being. First and second prizes will be conferred on the winners. On-line registration for participation would be needed.

Springer Oral Award presentations are planned for the students. Students will be given 8 minutes (sharp) for presentation followed by the discussion. The evaluations will be made by a group of experts in a panel. The two best oral presentation will be awarded during the valedictory function.

Poster abstracts are invited from students in different areas of polymer science & technology. These posters will remain displayed on the conference site for two days. The poster committee would evaluate them for their scientific, content, esthetic efforts and knowledge of the student in the area of presentation. The best posters. Selected by the technical committee will be awarded by APA.
